This term, Year 6 pupils are taking part in Outdoor Learning activities and the children are solving survival challenges. This week, they learned that a fire needs a triangle of equal amounts of oxygen, heat and fuel. They selected natural resources to make a fire. Did you know that a fire needs tinder, kindling and fuel?
The children’s first challenge was to collect and grade the wood and then they explored different ways to lay fires. The children enjoyed learning about fire safety and team building and now have the skills to set their own fires. Next time, they’re making toast!
