This year, outdoor learning has been added to the curriculum and has been enjoyed by everyone. Year 5 are the latest explorers and have been creating art installations using natural materials. The children have been inspired by Andy Goldsworthy, a famous British sculptor. Working collaboratively, they gathered leaves, sticks, stones and branches to create some amazing creations.
One child said to Miss Bannister, ‘I thought outdoor learning would be a bit boring but actually it’s been great fun.’ She went on to ask what they would be doing next week. We can reveal that den making and fire building will be their next challenges. I bet they can’t wait! Bear Grylls eat your heart out.
