In all Pegasus schools we have one of our aims as ‘Striving to be independent learners’. This means that we take responsibility for our own learning and are motivated to practice new skills or seek out information without being directed to do so. At Ecclesbourne, three girls in Year 5 have really been taking this to heart. Every day they arrive at school with new pieces of work they have completed at home in addition to their set homework. The girls have really shown their commitment to their independent learning and are full of facts about all manner of topics such as space or rivers. They’ve also been designing posters to help other children follow mathematical processes. Well done, girls! Keep up the good work.
