Wow! What an exciting and fun filled day we have had here on the last day of term.
We kick started the day off with a fantastic celebratory assembly, in which Miss Sunday announced the winners of our Black History Month competition.
Over the last couple of weeks children have been invited to complete a research project based on a successful black British person. The choice of person was theirs.
The entries came flying in each day and the quality kept getting better and better. All entries were amazing! The children had thought very carefully about their presentation, spelling and grammar and the overall creativity of their work.
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of the children that took part and handed in a piece of work. We are very proud of you all. Well done. We would also like to thank Miss Sunday for her hard work and organisation.
Now, choosing 3 winners was the hardest part of all.
But without further ado, the winners are as follows:
3rd Place- Tari in 4C
2nd place- Yaqoob in 5S
1st place- Amara in 6A
The three lucky winners were awarded a goody bags full of lovely gifts-books, a pencil case and a book mark. The runners up (there were 9 children) also received a prize and EVERYONE that took part received a certificate. Everyone was a Whitehorse Winner!! Again a huge congratulations to are winners and well done to all that took part.
Please take a look at the photos below.
Have a lovely half term everyone!
