Hello everyone!
I’d just like to take a moment to say a huge welcome back! It has been so lovely to see the smiling, happy faces of all of our children, staff and parents.
We have been super busy this week and have thoroughly enjoyed getting back into the rhythm of school. On my daily walk around Whitehorse Juniors, I have seen the children busily learning, working productively, talking to their peers about their work and demonstrating their creativity. We’ve had pizza fractions and mystery story writing in Year 6, solving multiplication calculations in Year 5, cats made out of clay in Year 4 (to go alongside their reading of the book Vajak Paw) as well as the start of Forest school sessions and last but not least the daily mile in Year 3 (photos attached). Well done everyone!
The children have really shown themselves to be resilient and eager to show off their skills and knowledge. Lockdown learning now seems like a distant memory.
We couldn’t have asked for a better return. What a great first week! Let’s keep it up.
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Tye
