- Meteors class assembly has been the talk of the town all week following an dramatic show about the history of Crystal Palace. The show began with a chiming chant from enthusiastic Palace football supporters. We then learnt about the tragic fire there in 1936 and how it used to be known as Penge Common .
Alongside some interesting facts about Crystal Palace, we heard some hilarious jokes. Highlights included a re-enactment of Victorian game, ‘Eggy-Peggy’ and performance of cockney classic ‘Knees up Mother Brown’. Well done for a fantastic assembly!
