Meteors class thrill with Crystal Palace assembly

  1. Meteors class assembly has been the talk of the town all week following an dramatic show about the history of Crystal Palace. The show began with a chiming chant from enthusiastic Palace football supporters. We then learnt about the tragic fire there in 1936 and how it used to be known as Penge Common .

Alongside some interesting facts about Crystal Palace, we heard some hilarious jokes. Highlights included a re-enactment of Victorian game, ‘Eggy-Peggy’ and performance of cockney classic ‘Knees up Mother Brown’. Well done for a fantastic assembly!
