Green-fingered at Whitehorse Manor Junior School

Today, Miss Tye and a team of children worked hard to plant a spring garden full of vegetables. All of the vegetables, flowers and fruit have been provided by Harrison Catering and ‘Rocket Gardens’, who are working together to help children learn about the food they eat and where it comes from. Each season we will be delivered an exciting box to plant in our school garden beds. Today the gardening team planted lettuces, carrots, beetroot, courgettes, rainbow chard, runner beans and cauliflowers. We are looking forward to watching them grow and for our school chef to use them to create something special in the kitchen. We will keep you updated!

Please have a look at some of the photos taken today.
