This week, we have shown that we truly are developing our ability to be independent learners. We have had little off 100% attendance at Google Meets and those who have not joined their class are working hard at home on work given to them by their teachers.
We have been thinking this week about how to manage our distractions to become better independent learners. In our assembly, we thought hard about how distractions to our learning may take a different form now we are learning online. We also talked about external distractions (particularly digital distractions) and internal distractions we might encounter learning at home. Please see our gallery below featuring the work of our Cypress Superstars this week, who have managed their distractions to produce thoughtful and well considered work. All of the children below will receive a rainbow certificate in the post!
We did things differently this week and managed to get everyone onto Google Meet for our assemblies. We battled through a technical difficulty today and still managed to celebrate our successes together, albeit slightly later than planned! We will continue to use the new codes next week. Check your child’s class blog on a Monday and Friday if you are uncertain of the code for assemblies.
A polite reminder regarding Google Meets.
Please can we stress the importance of all members of the household being appropriately dressed and speaking quietly whilst the children are in their class meetings. Please be aware you can easily be seen and heard. You can use the background blur by clicking on the 3 dots on the bottom right-hand side of the meet to help with this.
Thank you for your support in this matter.
We hope you have a restful weekend.
