This week was Fitness Week across the Trust. We have seen many children getting active and showing off their sports skills in videos and photographs posted to class blogs. We also discussed the effect of being physically active on the mind in our assemblies this week. All entries submitted to blogs will be forwarded to be judged in our Fitness Week competition – keep an eye on this section of the website to see if your child is a winner!
Holocaust Memorial Day Competition
A big well done to Nicole in Hazel and Sam in Rowan! Nicole won Croydon Council’s Holocaust Memorial Day competition. The theme was ‘Be the light in the darkness’. She wrote a piece recalling the horrific events of the holocaust and urging us all to stand in solidarity against tyranny. Sam was the runner up and wrote an amazing song called ‘Light’. Our School will be receiving the prize next week- Jewish artefacts, to be used during RE lessons. Thank you Nicole and Sam!
Screen Free Friday
On Friday 12th February, all of the Pegasus Academy Trust Schools will be taking part in ‘Screen-free Friday’. The purpose of ‘Screen -free Friday’ is to allow the children to have a day of broader experiences that are not restricted to being in front of a screen and to give them an opportunity to to explore their more creative side. Attendance
We had most classes this week achieving at least one day with 100% attendance at Google Meet registration and enagaging with work set, but a special mention goes to Larch class, who managed 100% attendance for the whole week. Keep it up Larch class!
