We have have continued to be engaged in our learning this week, alongside some festive fun. Father Christmas has delivered all of his presents to each class this morning; he arrived just in time for us to enjoy them before we break for the holidays! We also heard some captivating winter tales over Google Meet. We thoroughly enjoyed our slumber party. We watched movies as we enjoyed our hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows – just what’s needed after such a busy term!
A huge well done to all of the Year 5 children and staff for putting together a very entertaining Christmas production! I know how hard they worked, especially with the current challenges we are facing. I also loved the ‘bloopers’ section! If you haven’t watched it, you can do so here.
Well done to Abbey in Birch class, who used our ‘Word of the Week’ – ‘diligent’, beautifully, in a fantastically festive sentence. Keep up the word wizardry, Abbey. Congratulations also go to Izi in Larch class, who is the first winner of our golden lock competition. Remember, keep cycling to and from school for a chance to win a prize! Our creative superstars this week are: Violet, L’Aja, Aurel, Erin and Daniel all in Hawthorn, who have created decorative photo frames that include an angelic picture in the centre!
Well done to our gold Accelerated Readers! Great job Dotty, William, Ella, Maria, Tamila and Dalanda. Enjoy your prizes and keep up the reading over the holidays!
School returns on Tuesday 5th January, we look forward to seeing you next year!
