This week we have been thinking about perseverance and how this helps us to be independent learners. We really explored our emotions and how our body feels when we are faced with a challenge, with no immediate answer. We have been using strategies to manage our emotions, to help keep us focused on a task for longer. This morning’s celebration assembly was testament to how many children are applying these skills to their online learning. There was so much to celebrate!
Well done to Theon and Ernesto who won the Pegasus Fitness Competition for the best entry in Year 3 and Year 6. Theon created an amazing boxing tutorial, complete with slow motion and sound effects; great boxing skills and very impressive use of technology Theon! Ernesto created a vlog of his ‘Tour de Pegasus’ which involved running between all of the Pegasus schools. He achieved this in 33 minutes. Wow Ernesto! You have shown great stamina and perseverance – well done!
Our rainbow certificate winners this week also have shown dedication to learning, are managing their distractions, taking the time to notice and understand the finer detail in tasks set and persevering to reach success!
