This term Year 2 have been learning all about the Tudors and visited Hampton Court Palace, one of Henry VIII’s magnificent palaces. It was really exciting to see where Henry VIII lived nearly 500 years ago and to be in some of the same places that Henry would have spent time in. The children visited the kitchens, the Chapel and the Great Hall. They met Lady Beth and Lady Alice who showed the children some Tudor artefacts and children had a chance to handled the artefacts and discuss who they may have belonged to. The children enjoyed a stroll in Henry’s gardens and even spotted swans and deer. Everyone had a wonderful day!
