This week Year 2 have been exploring poems. In guided reading we read a selection of spring poems and identified rhyming word patterns. We also looked at some poems by Michael Rosen who reads with lots of expression, using different facial expressions, voices and gestures. We wrote our own poems with rhyming couplets inspired by his poem ‘Don’t Put Mustard In The Custard’. We then practised reading our poems with expression. Enjoy a selection of our poems.
