Year 2 were honoured to be invited into King Henry VIII’s home yesterday. They were given the opportunity to explore the stunning Hampton Court Palace as well as some beautiful Tudor artefacts. In Henry’s kitchens, they learned how to make a fire and the different types of food that were eaten during those times. The children also made their way into the Great Hall, where the servants ate, and Henry’s chapel. They were amazed when they discovered Henry’s gleaming crown covered with glamourous gems and detailed embroidery. Other highlights included the chance to learn an authentic Tudor dance with Lady Beth, an authentic Tudor lady.
