Year 2 have been learning about London and in particular the Great Fire of London. Miss Cashmiri set us a challenge to climb the 311 steps up The Monument. The stone column was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and was built between 1671 and 1677 to commemorate the catastrophic event that was the ‘Great Fire’. This event changed the city for the better. The weather held out and we were fortunate enough to see numerous famous landmarks that are dotted all over the wonderful city of London such as Tower Bridge, The London Eye, The Shard and finally St Paul’s Cathedral. What a wonderful sight it was! Everyone enjoyed this great trip out!
