In science this week, we carried out an experiment involving woodlice. We created a choice chamber with four sections so that we could make each part have different conditions.
We had:
- dark and dry
- dark and damp
- light and dry
- light and damp
Once this was created, we made sure that we put leaves and soil into each section. We made predictions to guess which area the woodlice would go into. A day later we came back to the choice chamber to find out which habitat it chose. We were surprised with the result, but have learnt that woodlice like dark and damp places.
