On Thursday, Year 2 children at Cypress had a fantastic day exploring Hampton Court Palace. During the interactive workshops, when the children went back in time to learn all about the lives of men and women in Tudor times. They explored how the rich and the poor lived and how people were entertained in King Henry VIII’s Court. There were also visits to the kitchen to see how food was prepared, tours around the rooms in the Court and the children even got the chance to get involved in some Tudor dancing.
Year 2 have been totally immersed in their Tudor topic and this visit follows on from their impressive showcase during Museum Day last week. Many thanks to the staff and the parents/carers who accompanied the children on this fabulous trip.
