Over the last two weeks, year 1 has been learning lots of interesting facts to help a new zookeeper do his best to care and look after lions. We found out about what lions eat and how they hunt as well as what they look like. After planning our writing, we edited our work to produce the best leaflet we could. Children wrote facts such as ‘ Did you know a lion’s roar can be heard from 5 miles away?’ and ‘You would be amazed to know that lions rest in trees to keep cool!’
