During the past two weeks, pupils in year 1 have been drawing pictures of African ladies using fine lines and sketching skills. They looked at different African materials and designs to find features to use in their own art. Children then used bold colours to design and create African patterns for the ladies’ dresses and then went on to design their own borders to create a frame and complete the final art piece.
