In what has become a much anticipated annual event, all writing implements were put away for ‘No Pens Day’. Across the school, children used the opportunity to focus on communicative and creative skills proving pens and pencils are not always required for learning.
Year 1 had a carousel of Moon related art and DT activities including collages and hand printing, while in Year 2, children created Tudor style portraits and an array of 3D shapes.
In Key Stage 2, children planned and made their own healthy smoothies as well as creating some fantastic outdoor artwork constructed purely from twigs and leaves. Elsewhere, children problem solved using mental maths and told stories using acting skills. Well done to everyone for getting stuck in!
