Cypress Upper: Summer Reading Challenge!

Paulette from Croydon Library Services came to see us today to talk about the Space Chase Summer Reading Challenge 2019. Children who participate – get ready to experience an out-of this-world adventure! The theme is inspired by the 50th anniversary of the first moon landings and it sounds amazing!  There are lots of fantastic books in the library around the subject. We learnt some fantastic facts about space; we can’t wait to get stuck into some super stellar stories! If you have another passion you can read other books and still win prizes.

We would love our children to keep reading and active over the summer; please do encourage them to join the Space Chase at your local library! If your child to reads SIX books and completes the challenge, they’ll be entered into a prize draw, with the chance to win a Kindle Fire kindly donated by dotdigital.

Croydon Libraries will also be hosting a wide range of activities for 4 – 11 years olds. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Storyteller John Kirk performs If you Believe
  • Author of Space Tortoise, Ross Mortimer
  • Science fun with Fizz Pop Science
  • Performance from Good Wolf People
  • Museum of Croydon Time Capsule Trail

You can also visit the Summer Reading Challenge website too for more inspiration!

Thanks Paulette! We will see you over the summer!
