This week, Reception have been taking inspiration from Kandinsky’s ‘Composition VIII’ painting to create our own piece of abstract art. Children drew around shapes onto paper and cut them out to add texture to their own paintings. They also drew lines, patterns and shapes onto their ‘composition’. Not only did they have fun doing this but they also learned how to effectively use tools such as pens, scissors and rulers to good effect.
