Nursery have been reading the book ‘On The Launch Pad’ by Derrick Alderman this week and learning about space. The children have been looking closely at pictures of rockets and deciding what shapes they can see to help them draw and paint their own rockets. They have junk modelled rockets and developed their fine motor skills through manipulating materials like playdough to make stars. Finally, they launched their own balloon rockets and discussed what it was that made them fly!
