This week has seen record numbers of children learning online. All the staff and SLT are so proud of the efforts our children and their families are making to engage with our online provision. The quality of the work being shared on class blogs has been excellent.
We would also like to thank our staff who are making every effort to keep children engaged online, we caught Miss Staniforth dressed up as Wally this morning during her class google meet. This kind of dedication to entertain runs alongside staff learning new ICT skills everyday to get to grips with the ever evolving technology we are using to stay connected to the children.
This week year two have been looking at fairy tales and designing their own dragons as demonstrated by Elana below. Louie in Purple Class decided to use Lego to help support his division work-what a great idea! In year 1 Daniella celebrated fitness week by sharing her own workout video and reception children Amelia, Jessica and Myles produced some fantastic art work inspired by the story ‘Bog Baby’ and successfully categorised different types of healthy foods.
Finally, some exciting news to share…a new PE frame has been fitted in the hall! Whilst removing the old one the engineer found a date stamped 1970 so it seems it was about time we had a bit of an update! This frame was purchased using the PE and Sports Grant funding. We can not wait for the children to get back into school to use it-something to look forward too! Please see photographic images below.
Please keep up the fantastic work and stay safe.
