Upper School – Our visit from Margaret Bateson-Hill!

We were very excited on Wednesday. We had a very special visit from our Patron of Reading -Margaret Bateson-Hill! She explained that anyone can be a poet and we can be inspired by anything or anyone. We heard the story of the Hare and the Hedgehog and enjoyed joining in with the actions. Then she ended with a fantastic poem called, ‘You say you don’t believe in dragons’. We wanted to hear more! Margaret also came to see us in our classes and Year 3 were so inspired by Margaret’s first visit, they made their own anthology inspired by Margaret’s poem. The book is in the foyer of the office. Why not stop by and take a look?
