School Council launch the Book Hut!

On Tuesday some of the Upper School Councillors helped launch our Pop Up Book Hut by telling all the children, on both sites, about the Pop Up Book Hut. They had prepared an assembly with a Powerpoint presentation to help tell everyone how the Book Hut works. They also showed the children some of the amazing books that are available for free!

Lower School children visited the Book Hut throughout the day on Tuesday and got very excited about the new and nearly new books that they saw. Upper School children have been following the sign to ‘HAVE A LOOK, TAKE A BOOK’ and many have already chosen a book to keep. Lower school children can visit with their parents and carers before and after school to choose a book. Don’t forget to visit the Book Hut this half term and remember that the books are being regularly replenished by School Council!

A huge thank you to London Children’s Book Project for the loan of the hut and the wonderful free books! You might like to find out more about the charity’s great work: https://childrensbookproject.co.uk
