Year 5 have been incredibly busy over the last few weeks and have been working diligently to show off their learning powers: they have used our imagination muscles in Art week, persevered in their writing lessons to create a formal report and even used their revising skills to improve their knowledge of fractions.
On top of all that Sycamore class did a brilliant job creating a group poster about human gestation in science, where they learnt that in the 16th week of pregnancy the baby is the same size as an avocado – isn’t that incredible?
Additionally, in Willow class the children explored the character of Bradley Chalkers from ‘There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom‘ and used a range of figurative language features to write a monster poem about him. Don’t they look amazing?
Finally in Hazel class, the children have been having lots of fun learning how to use the forehand and backhand swings in tennis, and from the look of the photos they are doing a great job!
Well done to all the children for all the wonderful learning they have demonstrated so far, we cannot wait to see what the final few weeks will bring! 🙂
