Year 5 -  Police Visit

Year 5 children at Whitehorse Junior had a recent visit from the local police as part of their Crime and Punishment topic work.  They were given an introduction to the role of the Police, a brief history of the force and had a questions and answer session.  After lots of discussion, the children were able to explore the range of equipment, try on parts of their uniform and listen to the siren of the police car.  The children learnt a lot about the role of the police and gained an understanding of why law enforcement is essential in society.
