World Book Day in Mars Class

As Mars Class were at the Natural History Museum on Thursday, they celebrated World Book Day as a class today.  The children (and adults!) embraced the Roald Dahl theme and came dressed as characters from his books.  We had Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Matilda, the BFG and many more.  It was very exciting to see which characters people had chosen and the different costumes they were wearing.

During the day, the children took part in different activities based around books they have read.  They designed exciting new book covers for their favourite books which looked brilliant.  They also listened to some tops tips for writing from different authors.

It was wonderful to spend a day celebrating books and reading and it was fantastic to see the effort children (and parents and carers) had made with their costumes.
