This half-term, Year 6 have been learning how to play netball. As an end of term treat, some of the children took part in a netball tournament run by a qualified netball umpire. Throughout the tournament Mrs Parley, the umpire, gave the children coaching tips on their footwork, positioning on the court and their throwing skills. She also clarified some of the more complicated rules. The children were divided into 8 teams who then played against each other to decide which teams would go through to the semi-finals and eventually the finals. All the children thoroughly enjoyed their netball experience, playing superbly and with a great sense of sportsmanship. Well done to all of the participants and the team who won overall.
