Children at Whitehorse Manor Juniors have welcomed the start of the Rugby World Cup 2019 with their own mixed 5-a-side Tag Rugby competition. Mr Powell provided training to 80 boys and girls from all year groups with an introduction to the game of rugby. The children learned about, and practised, a variety of skills, improving their agility, speed, positioning and movement. The competition lasted two day and the final was witnessed by the whole school during lunchtime. Mr Powell was so pleased and proud of the effort that was shown and hopes some of these children become World Cup stars of the future. Ultimately, the competition was won by the 6M Monsters in a closely battled final which went down to a sudden death try. A huge congratulations to them and for everyone else for taking part.
