Support grows for ‘Pegasus High’

Two weeks ago the Directors of The Pegasus Academy Trust decided to consult the community to see if there was support for a new secondary school in Thornton Heath.  We have been targeting our consultation at the families who would initially benefit following our proposed opening in September 2014 and we have had an overwhelming response with hundreds of supportive replies now in.  The proposed school would be situated within 2km of Thornton Heath railway station with the aim that the vast majority of students who attended would walk to school.  At canvassing events outside Tesco on Saturday afternoon parents who do not have children in Pegasus schools were telling us how important they think this idea is and signing to pledge their support.  The school we propose would be Co-Ed so brothers and sisters could go to the same school, making it easier for families, and would not have a business or faith affiliation.  If you would like to know more you can read our flyer here.  When you have read the flyer you may wish to join hundreds of others in pledging your support here.  We will keep parents and carers updated with progress via regular news articles on this website.
