Free school bid submitted to DfE

Just before Christmas we put the finishing touches to our proposal for a new secondary school for Thornton Heath and submitted it for consideration by the Department for Education (DfE).  The final proposal contained nearly 140 pages and represented many, many hours of work for Directors and school staff.  The response to our demand survey was overwhelmingly positive and we will be seeking to build on this support to make sure the proposed new secondary school is fully subscribed if approved to open in September 2014.  The next stage is that those proposers who are shortlisted are invited to the DfE for interview some time in April.  The Directors of the Pegasus Academy Trust thank all concerned for their hard work and support and hope that this will now be recognised by the DfE and that we are selected for interview.  We shall update the community here as soon as there is any further news.
