On the 9th of November last, year the Jam Bus choir from Ecclesbourne Primary School performed at Buckingham Palace for Prince Edward and a select few guests. The choir have been working with the London Mozart Players and this was the first ever performance of a new work called The Anthem for Peace. The Anthem for Peace project is a musical piece which, it is hoped, will spread around the world with more and more groups performing it culminating in a final performance at a Festival of Peace in the Summer to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War.
The school was honoured to be asked to take part and despite only having 2 weeks to learn and rehearse the piece the children performed brilliantly. Overall, it was an incredible experience for everyone involved and something the children will remember for the rest of their lives. We are very proud of them and they should be proud of themselves.
