We had a fantastic start of the year with our first book ‘Ruby’s worry’ by Tom Percival. It was great seeing the children getting engaged with their learning and making inferences from the illustrations and a range of sound stimuli. They developed their collaborative skills and unleashed their creativity, while working on their shoe box beach scenes. They enjoyed their first drama session, exploring activities that can be pursued at the beach. Important PSHE themes such as being happy and worrying about things were explored during circle times and inspired some beautiful pieces of writing.
Well done Year 1 and keep up the good work!
