CYP – farewell to an eyesore

After a period of planning and some relocation of resources we finally said goodbye today to the ugly portacabin that had been sitting right at the front of the Lower school site for as long as anyone can remember.  Mrs. Hart has been at the school for more than sixteen years and it’s been there as long as she has.  The portacabin has been moved in order to make way for a window into the new school office which will be cut into this wall.  The new school office project for the lower site will get underway soon and contractors have now been appointed.

The new office will provide better security, a more welcoming entrance to the school, accessible to all (including wheelchairs and pushchairs) and a dedicated area where children who are unwell can wait to be collected under the supervision of the office staff.  It is part of the programme of improvements to the fabric of the schools that Pegasus are implementing to support rising standards at the school.  Parents and Carers should see work underway shortly and it should be completed by the end of the summer term.
