No pens day drives creativity

For one day only, pens were banned from EPS allowing children to record their learning in alternative ways. Learning opportunities included a host of maths problem solving activities across all year groups. In Year 4, for example, children used clues to work out the finishing order of cars in a race while Year 2 created 3 D shapes out of card. Meanwhile, Year 3 children used the opportunity for an afternoon of science experimentation which included testing if cabbage juice was acidic or alkaline. (Miss Hunt apologises sincerely for the whiff of cabbage around the school.)
