Invitation to an event discussing air pollution in our part of Croydon

Invitation – ‘Action to Tackle Air Pollution in Croydon’, 20th October 10.30 – 12.30.  Whitehorse Manor Schools – Brigstock Road site, 129 – 133 Brigstock Road

As a Trust we are keen to keep building relationships with our local community and support action to tackle issues we face in our lives beyond the classroom. One such issue is air pollution, which you’ll know is sadly a significant problem across London and in parts of Croydon too. Working with local Councillors – Cllr Muhammad Ali (Broad Green Ward); Cllrs Stuart King and Janet Campbell (West Thornton Ward) and Cllr. Jamie Audsley (Bensham Manor ward) we invite you to attend an ‘action to tackle air pollution’ event on the 20th October. This event will allow those who attend to get a clearer picture of what is really going on with regard to this important issue.  What are the facts and what are the solutions?  What role can we all play in tackling this public health crisis?

We hope you can join this fun and friendly event to understand all of the above and shape the way forward for tackling air pollution in Croydon.

The event will enable everyone to:

1) Understand the situation and impact of air pollution in our borough
2) Explore possible solutions to tackle air pollution – especially around schools and for young people
3) Contribute to the design of Croydon’s Air Quality Strategy and Action Plan
