Hello to all our Pegasus Reception Children, Parents and Carers,
We do hope you are all well and managing to keep busy at home. Remember to try and keep reading every day. Can you re-tell last week’s story of ‘Supertato’ to your grown-ups, from memory?
Please see below for some ideas for the coming week.
Continuing on from last weeks story of ‘Supertato’, listen online to the story of: ‘Supertato – Veggies in the Valley of Doom’.
This is the link to a reading of it by “Books Alive”:
Children could use a cardboard box from their recycling to make and decorate a treasure chest. What will you put inside your treasure chest as your treasure? What could you use to decorate it?
Hide it somewhere in your house then draw a map to show how to get to the hidden treasure. Don’t forget to draw and label the dangers you go through on your journey e.g. The Valley of Doom, Quicksand Corner or Squishy Swamp. Of course X marks the spot where your treasure chest is hidden.
Don’t forget to take your Supertato or other hero veggies you have made with you on your journey. We would love to see a photo of you on your journey with your map so please share these with us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Another idea could be to write or draw a list of all the items you are going to take with you to help you escape from the dangers you encounter on your journey.
e.g. a torch
a net to catch evil peas…..
We look forward to seeing some photos of your adventures and hope that you all have fun doing these activities.
Take care and best wishes from The Reception Team
