Dear Nursery (and Rainbows) Parents/Carers,
We do hope you are all well and beginning to get used to this rather strange new world we all find ourselves in! The attached document lists a few ideas you might like to try with your children. We would stress that these are not compulsory; take the lead from your child and please remember this:
When this current situation is over, your child’s mental health will be far more important than their academic skills. How they felt during this time will stay with them long after the memory of what they did during those weeks is long gone. So please keep this in mind, every single day!
Don’t forget the joys of the very simple things in life: playing board games, going on walks, making dens with blankets and reading books in them, allowing children to play and learn at their own pace, cooking and talking together.
If your child is particularly proud of anything they have done and want their teachers to see it, please do email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
We are thinking of you all so much and send our very best wishes.
