It’s hard to believe yet another week has flown by and at Cypress Lower we continue to be so impressed with how brilliantly all the children (and parents/carers!) are doing during these challenging and unprecedented times. We do understand how people are juggling home schooling and all that entails (often with more than one child) with work and other commitments, so a huge well done on your collective efforts to get our children online every day and be part of their class learning. The work being produced amazes and delights us every day and seeing all those lovely faces on our screens brightens up our day! Please continue to post work on the class blogs; we love seeing all the innovative and creative ways that children are managing their home learning. We have included just a small selection of children’s work in the gallery on this post.
The attendance at our live lessons has been incredible and we would like to mention in particular this week both Violet and Red Classes, whose attendance has been 100% all week! On different days during the week we also had 100% attendance for Ruby and Turquoise Classes. Very well done and keep up this amazing work everyone!
The children in our Keyworker Provision continue to thrive and are working extremely hard, joining their classes with the online lessons and keeping busy and active with plenty of opportunities for physical exercise during the day. Thank you to all the staff in the Keyworker Provision who are working so hard with the children who are on site with us.
We all know that we need to strike a balance regarding the amount of screen time the children (and adults) are being exposed to and Pegasus are delighted to announce that next week, beginning Monday, 25th January, will be Health and Fitness Week across the whole Trust. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will have their first registration Googlemeets at 9.30am next week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to allow for all the children to join Joe Wicks’ live Workouts at 9.00am on those days. The workouts are streamed live on Joe Wicks’ YouTube channel.
We hope you all have a relaxing weekend and thank you again for all your continued support.
