The children have come come back to Little Cypress with great enthusiasm following the half-term break. We have had a busy and productive week, starting to create our nursery garden with recycled items kindly donated by parents and carers. The children have loved getting involved and helping with some of the planting. The children also took home their broad bean plants which grew enormously over the half-term and some looked like actual beanstalks!
Numbers and counting have been very popular this week and we have been working on ensuring our counting is systematic and accurate, ensuring we touch each object as we count it.
The week started with investigating shaving foam, ice and coloured water to create our own amazing concoctions in our Cypress Coffee Shop. We talked about why ice melts and what can help it to melt more quickly.
We spent time in Forest School which was a lovely relief from some of the heat and humidity this week!
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
