In Little Cypress this week we have been having fun around a football theme, in honour of the Euro 2020 Football Tournament. We have had great fun playing football with the mini figures and finger boots, as well sorting and counting the football-themed pasta using tongs and developing our fine motor skills at the same time! We discussed which countries have been playing and who we want to win. Many of the children are opting for England, but there have been a few votes for Italy, France, Spain and Turkey!
We have been thinking about the special males in our lives and why we love them, ahead of Father’s Day on Sunday. We thought of reasons why we love our daddies, uncles, brothers and grandpas and many of the reasons revolved around food and all the special meals and snacks these gentlemen make! We made some very special ties for Father’s Day, which we printed with our own patterns.
We had a special visitor on Thursday to our patio in Rainbows: a frog! It looked a little dehydrated and scared but we offered him/her some water in a shallow dish and he/she seemed to recover quite quickly and hopped away happily! We remembered to be really quiet and gentle whilst observing the frog, so it wouldn’t get scared by the noise of lots of fascinated children!
Friday was rather wet and soggy but we still managed to have lots of fun. Have a wonderful weekend!
