Another fun-packed week has flown by in Little Cypress! We are all so impressed with the brilliant way the children are adapting to their new classes and all the routines they are getting used to. Their listening skills at carpet time are improving all the time and the children are making new friends as well. It is so heart-warming to see how quickly they are gelling as a unit and we are very proud of them all!
There was a real interest in jungle animals this week, which also somehow morphed in to a fascination of rainbows. The rainbow coloured plasticine was a big hit and the children focused so well on using scissors and developing their cutting skills. We have noticed how fantastic some of the children are at doing puzzles; well done!
Despite the variable weather, there has been plenty of outside play and the bikes, Wendy House, shop and the cars/trains/garage have proved very popular. Today, it poured with rain but we still enjoyed playing outside on our patio and thought of lots of songs about the rain including Doctor Foster, Incy Wincy Spider, It’s raining, it’s pouring and I Hear Thunder.
We hope you all have a relaxing weekend and see you on Monday.
