Another fabulous week has whizzed by at Cypress Lower! Many classes have explored Forest School and have been acquiring so many skills there, including resilience, independence, perseverance and the joy of being outside and at one with nature.
Class Photographs
Class photographs were taken on Tuesday and these will be available to view online very soon; we will let you know when these are ready. All ordering will also take place online.
Orange Class Assembly
Orange Class treated us to a wonderful class assembly on Thursday, to which the other reception classes and Orange Class parents and carers joined us via Googlemeet. The children were amazing and confidently showed us their fantastic artwork based on the artist Kandinsky, as well as talking about their feelings. We were so proud of them all and a big thank you to Ms Whorms and Mrs Kan in Orange Class for working so hard in preparing the children for their moment in the spotlight! We look forward to the assemblies from Red and Yellow Class very soon.
Year 2 : Iron Man Writing
Our Year 2 children have been doing some amazing writing based on the Iron Man; very impressive and it has been incredible to see how the children are able to write at length, using the themes from the Iron Man to write their own stories.
Year 1 : Out of Africa
Year 1 have started their topic work on Africa and have been writing Tinga Tales about How the Elephant got his Trunk, as well as exploring African animals through different art techniques, again the stories of how the Elephant Got His Trunk are a delight!
