On Friday evening, the year 6 children had a wonderful camp out on the lower site field. After returning to school in the evening – laden down with sleeping bags, blankets and mattresses – the year 6 children were challenged to erect their own tents which they did with great perseverance. We then had a fantastic fun-filled evening which involved playing a variety of fun games on the field (including corn hole, hula hoops, badminton, cricket and all sorts of other activities). Dinner was a delicious BBQ finished off by toasting marshmallows over a campfire. The final activity of our super evening was a game of torch hide and seek after which we all retired to our tents. Despite getting a little bit damp due to the rain during the night, we all had a fantastic experience which the children will remember for years to come!
