Year 2 visit Morden Hall Park

Over the last two weeks children from Ecclesbourne and Whitehorse Manor Infants have been on an exciting trip to Morden Hall Park.  Our visit included taking part in many exciting activities such as river dipping and a minibeast hunt as we investigated two different habitats.  We found many exciting minibeasts both in the river and under the logs.  These included toads, millipedes, centipedes, woodlice, spiders, freshwater shrimp, water mites, to name a few and one class even managed to catch a small fish!  All classes behaved beautifully and had a fantastic day out, we will be continuing our work on minibeasts and their habitats as part of our science topic back in the classroom.
