WHJUN @ Croydon Dance Show 2015

On Wednesday 11th March a group of dancers from Year 5 took part in the Croydon Schools' Dance Association show at Fairfield Halls.  The show is held every year and many schools from across the borough take part over two days.  The theme was 'Making History' and the choreographer from 'Aim High Dance Academy', Bernie Warren-Ukadike, compsed a dance based on WW2 soldiers.  The fourteen girls successfully auditioned to be in the dance group last December, and showed their commitment by rehearsing regularly, twice weekly, up to the performance.  The group worked hard to learn the four minute dance which they performed faultlessly, to great applause from a packed auditorium.  They are stars in the making!  Well done to Ms Smythe for taking the lead in supporting our dancers and to Mrs Christopher for sourcing 'Aim High Dance Academy' as part of our extended schools provision.
