Red nose day at Pegasus – Friday 15th March 2013

This year Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day is on Friday 15th March.   The Pegasus Academy Trust is planning to fundraise for the important work of this charity and we want everyone to get involved.

Children across all three schools are invited to come to school in fancy dress and this year the theme is ‘Superheroes’.  It could be that you come as your favourite hero or you make up your own.  Maybe your hero is someone at home or someone that helps you.  Whatever it is, dress up and make the effort to raise money and help others.

Even if you can’t put a costume together, dress up in something red to mark the occasion and don’t forget to wear your red nose.  All we ask is that you make a suggested donation of £1 to help the vital work of Comic Relief here and abroad.  Each school will also be organising some individual events and details of these can be found through staff and posters at each school site.  Children have also seen details in assemblies.  Confirmed events are:

  • Table tennis tournament at Whitehorse Juniors;
  • 'Bake a cake' at Whitehorse Infants – 20p for ingredients please;
  • Cake sale after school at Ecclesbourne, organised by Year 6;
  • Board game bonanza afternoon – Comets Class, Ecclesbourne.  Bring your board game and a donation please;
  • Coin circle – Planets Class, Ecclesbourne.  Please bring any unwanted bronze coins and help make a circle of coins big enough to go right around the class.

We may also be shaking tins outside the schools in the morning and at afternoon pick up so if you have a jar full of small change please fill your pockets up.  We look forward to seeing children in costume on the day.
