Pirates, partying and pyjamas

We can’t believe it, our last day on the Isle of Wight! After another huge breakfast, we were out in the coaches shortly after 9am, and this time we were headed to Blackgang Chine Adventure Park on the south side of the island.  The refreshing sea mist sweeping in from the channel offered a welcome respite from the blazing hot sunshine we have been so lucky to enjoy all week.  Throughout our day, we got lost in more mazes, rode on roller coasters and were drenched on the water slides.  We experienced life in the Wild West in Cowboy Town and got chased by dinosaurs on Dinosaur Island.  Some of the children played real life snakes and ladders, explored the Underwater Kingdom and battled each other on pirate ships.  Thoroughly exhausted, we returned to the hotel at five o’clock to pack bags, eat dinner then change into our party clothes.  It was a big night tonight, the one everyone had been waiting for – the disco!  Everyone partied hard until half-past nine, then went to their rooms for a final tidy up and a good nights sleep, ready for the journey home tomorrow.

It has been a thoroughly fantastic week and we have all had a really enjoyable time. The children have made all of the staff very proud and hopefully they will have formed memories to last them a lifetime.
